A worthwhile read. I was wondering if you also encountered women who had a combination of the features you covered? e.g. traffic trauma at a young age, leaving a husband after being told you’re repulsive because of your extensive scars from said trauma, becoming overweight because of the extensive damage done to your body and an inability to exercise properly, experiencing your thirties as a wall-flower, when you were a highly attractive woman to men, even experiencing men falling in love with your personality online, but being afraid to meet them because of your age and extensive scarring… Hmmm… maybe I’m using your engaging essay as an excuse for me to vent. 🙂 I liked it, ’twas depressing and enlightening at the same time.
